Catch The Trollenberg Terror and Day of the Triffids on Talking Pictures TV’s Retro Sci-Fi Sunday on 16 August

7:45am Alien Factor (1978). A spaceship containing dangerous specimens crashes on earth near a small backwards town.

9:15am The Strange World Of Planet X (1956). A British laboratory studying magnetic fields is warned by a cosmic visitor of the dangers in their experiments. Starring Forrest Tucker.

1.15pm The Trollenberg Terror (1958). A series of deaths on a Swiss mountain appear to be connected to a mysterious cloud. Starring Forest Tucker, Warren Mitchell and Andrew Faulds.

2.45pm Fire Maidens From Outer Space (1956). Spacemen land on the 13th Moon of Jupiter and find man-hungry space girls waiting for them. Starring Harry Fowler, Paul Carpenter and Sydney Tafler.

4.15pm Target Earth (1954). A large city is ordered to be completely evacuated as an army of robots, believed to be from the planet Venus, attack it. Starring Richard Denning.

5.50pm Plan 9 From Outer Space (1958). Aliens resurrect dead humans as zombies and vampires to stop humanity from creating the Solaranite (a sort of sun-driven bomb).

7.30pm Night Caller (1965). Aliens need to find mates from another world or they’ll become extinct, they start with earth females. Directed by John Gilling and starring John Saxon, Maurice Denham and Patricia Haines.

9.10pm Day of the Triffids (1962). A spectacular meteor storm is watched by many millions. Anyone watching is blinded, except Bill. He, and a few others, must battle with flesh eating plants.

10.55pm Galaxina (1980). Galaxina (Playboy model Dorothy Stratten) is an android who looks after the crew on board a spacecraft.

12.35am The PSI Factor (1980). A scientist tries to find out why aliens from another dimension are coming to earth. Stars Peter Mark Richmann (The Naked Gun).

2.25am The Killings At Outpost Zeta (1980). A team investigates the mysterious deaths of two previous expeditioners to a strategically important part of a barren world.

4.15am Time Warp (1980). While seeking a cosmic black hole, an astronaut discovers a timewarp. Starring Adam West and Gretchen Corbett, an writteb by Anne (sister of Steven) Spielberg.
